The Master's of Design (MA, MFA) is an advanced 1 - 2 year degree, with both a thesis- and non-thesis option, for individuals that are seeking advanced studies in all aspects of design. This degree is typically open to applicants with a first degree in design (BA Design), or with experience or an approved degree in an allied field acceptable to the department.
The Master's degree in design aims to provide professionals in the field of design - designers, architects, design teachers and others in design-related professions - with additional academic qualifications in the form of new knowledge and new approaches and theories in the expanding and progressive field of design.

Part- and full-time study options, along with various delivery modes - residential programs, distance education programs and online programs - are also available. North American Master's programs in design welcome foreign students. However, fluency in spoken and written English is critically important.
